Celebrating World Environment Day 2026
Empowering the next generation of global changemakers through experiential learning and environmental stewardship.

Turning Classrooms into Laboratories of Change
At Sahitya School, we believe in “Education in Motion.” This World Environment Day, our students proved once again that they are fearless thinkers and proactive environmental stewards. Through our ongoing Climate Resilient Schools Program, the campus was buzzing with hands-on activities that beautifully blended joy-based concepts with real-world ethical reasoning.
Data-Driven Stewardship
The day kicked off at our campus Weather Station. Students from our primary and middle years utilized the station to read live climate data on our Android screens, analyzing local temperature shifts and discussing proactive ways to lower our carbon footprint.
Hands-On Eco Labs
Living up to our promise of “Innovation in Every Lab,” students participated in seed-ball making and organic gardening. By planting over 100 native saplings in and around Kumbiganahalli Village, they actively engaged with the community, learning the science of soil and the value of giving back.
Joy-Based Sustainability
Sustainability doesn’t have to be boring! Through puzzles, storytelling, and eco-art competitions, our educators introduced complex climate concepts to our younger learners. It was a perfect demonstration of how we make science and nature an adventure for every child.
“We are not just teaching children about nature; we are raising changemakers who will build a more humane and sustainable society. Today, we saw dignity, integrity, and passionate excellence in action.”
